Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join their client's dynamic team in California. The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting executive planning and decision-making through comprehensive financial analysis, modeling, and reporting. This position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Independently analyze financial data, budgets, forecasts, and investment scenarios to support executive planning and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial models used to evaluate development projects, capital investments, and operational initiatives.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide written and verbal recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Prepare executive-level financial summaries, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Review contracts, purchase agreements, amendments, and related documents to assess financial impact, risk exposure, and compliance with company objectives.
  • Evaluate key contract terms, milestones, and obligations and advise leadership on potential financial or operational implications.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and external partners to resolve contract-related issues requiring professional judgment.
  • Provide analytical oversight of escrow and transaction processes, including timelines, funding requirements, and financial documentation.
  • Evaluate transaction structures and identify risks or discrepancies requiring escalation or resolution.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding financial aspects of escrow-related activities.
  • Lead assigned finance- or development-related projects, exercising discretion to prioritize work, resolve routine issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Monitor project financial performance against approved budgets and timelines and advise leadership of variances or risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts while maintaining responsibility for financial analysis and outcome recommendations.
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to the CDO and CFO on assigned initiatives.
  • Participate in due diligence activities related to acquisitions, development projects, or strategic initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement of financial analysis tools, reporting processes, and internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Education requirement is a Bachelor's Degree.
  • hands-on experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis tools)
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Basic understanding of SQL or data querying tools
  • Progress toward or interest in professional certifications (CPA, CFA, or MBA)
